Founded by a passionate attorney who experienced firsthand the challenges of the legal profession, Briefly Bold was created to empower and support the next generation of young professionals - including, but not limited to, lawyers and law students. After all, the law is everywhere!

At Briefly Bold, our mission is to provide law students, young lawyers, and other professionals with the tools they need to navigate the legal world with confidence. We believe that success in the legal field goes beyond just mastering case law and legal principles. It also involves building a strong network, embracing personal growth, and maintaining a sense of humor in the face of challenges. Yes, we said sense of humor. Attorneys can be funny, too.

About our Founder.

Katie Davidson is the attorney behind Briefly Bold. Katie's journey began with a strong foundation in history and philosophy, which she obtained at Centre College in 2018. She then pursued her Juris Doctor at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, graduating in 2021.

As a first-generation law student, Katie faced numerous challenges. Her determination and hard work led her to become the Senior Notes Editor of the University of Louisville Law Review, Volume 59, and a published author in the same volume. Today, she is a licensed attorney working in the government and loving it!

The inspiration for Briefly Bold emerged from Katie's own experiences in law school. She began designing anecdotal graphics and designs for her friends to make the daily grind more tolerable. As her creations gained popularity, Katie realized that she could make a difference by sharing resources and developing her own tools to help law students survive and thrive in their legal journey.

Katie's vision for Briefly Bold is to create a place where law students and young lawyers can find a little help, whether it's humor, inspiration, a confidence boost, or tangible resources to make their lives easier. She is dedicated to building a supportive community that empowers its members and fosters personal and professional growth. She quickly learned that there was a community of non-lawyers could benefit from these resources too.

Outside of her legal profession, Katie enjoys spending time partner and healthcare hero, James, and their spirited yellow Labrador, Hank. She also loves writing, art, and traveling, which further fuels her creativity and passion for helping others.

Through Briefly Bold, Katie aims to share her insights, experiences, and resources with the next generation of legal professionals, making their journey a little easier and a lot bolder.
