BRIEFS is an affordable, ready-to-use and minimalistic journal that is still aesthetically designed. From the moment you open the digital version of this journal, you are ready to use it. There is one file to import into your favorite note-taking app.

These are tools I designed for myself, and then replicated to optimize any law student's life. Included are:
-Fifty (50) two-page case briefing templates to help incorporate your own brief with class notes;
-Twenty (20) blank note pages; and
-An index to track your cases by name, subject, and date (to help outline later).

As a practicing attorney, I can confidently say that the case briefing method is essential. It engrains in you a rhythm of communication that is almost its own language among lawyers. The case brief template that this journal is built around will lay the foundation for mastering this language and teach you to "think like a lawyer."

It is my hope that more law students feel confident in the classroom when they utilize these tools. Be bold. Be Brave. But importantly, be kind and share your tools with your peers. I hope this journal is one such tool you feel the need to share.

IMPORTING PDF INTO GOODNOTES:
1. ON YOUR TABLET, open the PDF tap the Share icon (or a similar function).
2. elect either "Copy to GoodNotes" at the top row of apps, or "Open in GoodNotes" in the list of apps. GoodNotes should then open automatically and ask how you want the file imported. 3. Select "Import the file as a completely new document (available when you don't have any document visible in GoodNotes)"
